Microsoft introduced its Edge browser with the Windows 10 operating system. Edge is the successor to Internet Explorer and brings improved performance as well as new features. Through this Web browser, users can access Cortana voice search functions. A new Reader mode strips everything but text from websites, perfect for news articles. Edge provides faster website loading times than Internet Explorer, too.
Edge lacks add-on compatibility at launch, and certain bugs still exist within the browser. Fortunately, Microsoft has laid the foundation for a strong browser that can compete with Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, and Apple Safari as time goes on.
